Try One of the Brain Gym's Exercises
This exercise is one of the many fun ways The Brain Gym works to improve attention, enhance memory and build visual processing skills.  Each level increases the challenge and builds cognitive skills.  Try it alone and then with your child or spouse.  Print the page and invite your friends to try it at your next party. 
Level 1
Start at the top row reading left to right.  Call out the color of each arrow without a mistake.

Level 2
Call out the direction of each arrow (“Right, Up, Right, Down”).  Do it without error in 40 seconds.  Keep trying until you complete all rows without error in 20 seconds.

Level 3
Call out the direction of the arrows as if they were turned ¼ turn clockwise.  Work on cutting your time down to 20 seconds.  Still pretty easy? 

Level 4
Call out the color of the UP and DOWN arrows, and call out the direction of the LEFT and RIGHT arrows (this strengthens divided attention abilities).  Increase the challenge by saying RED for YELLOW and BLUE for GREEN. 

Level 5
Call out the direction of the arrows as if RED and GREEN were turned ¼ turn clockwise and YELLOW and BLUE were turned ¼ turn counterclockwise.  Over time you will find yourself mastering each level.  That is because your brain is growing new connections to handle the challenge, much like exercising grows bigger muscles.
