The Brain Gym solves reading issues once and for all!
Millions of children and adults across America struggle to read. The majority of reading issues are caused by cognitive skills deficiencies. Unfortunately, schools and most tutors are simply not equipped to help people who have reading problems due to deficient cognitive skills. At The Brain Gym, we identify and correct those underlying learning skills that keep people from reading. Whether you are concerned about your child, or seeking help for yourself, we have the answers you’re looking for.
Signs of reading issues due to cognitive skills deficiencies:
- Difficulty decoding (sounding out) unfamiliar words
- Inconsistency…sometimes will read things easily, other times will struggle
- In Title I at school, but not making progress
- Diagnosed with Dyslexia
- Does not read fluently; reading is choppy
- Is pushed through grade levels because of obvious intelligence, but is still struggling to read and keep up in class
- Performs well on spelling tests, but cannot spell in context (i.e. story writing)
- Leaves out letters (or puts them in the wrong place) when spelling
At The Brain Gym, we will TEST for the root cause of reading problems. We will TARGET those specific cognitive issues and build a program tailored to fit your individual reading problem. Then we will TRAIN you to be a good reader. The Brain Gym’s sound-to-letter reading program has worked for people of all ages, and it will work for you!
What about Dyslexia?
There is hope! Dyslexia is simply Greek for “poor with words” or “poor reading.” Children and adults considered to be dyslexic can and WILL succeed with The Brain Gym’s reading program.
I am confident in saying that if it hadn’t been for The Brain Gym, my beautiful, smart daughter would not be reading today. I am convinced that there is no way that the school or I (also an educator) could have put together a more thorough program for learning to read. It is very clear to me that she does have reading difficulties and they would have been insurmountable in an educational setting. Aneesa received her 5th grade report card yesterday: all A’s and one B in math. She does read slowly, but with where she started a short year ago, 9-years-old but unable to sound out words beyond the first grade level, I am nothing short of thrilled at her progress. She is able to keep up in school and has received only exemplary comments from her teachers. I encourage all parents whose children have diagnosed or undiagnosed reading challenges to try The Brain Gym. The investment in your child’s future is one that will last a lifetime. - Danielle Malik ∙ Berks County, PA
